Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate or Disodium Pyrophosphate is included in the phosphate group chemicals. It is one of the edible phosphorus salts that prevents food coloring and helps the fermentation process in foods. It is also generally called Disodium Diphosphate. Where are the areas of use of Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate?

Sodium acid pyrophosphate is used in the cooking industry to determine the rates of fermentation reactions.
It is used to provide pH balance in foods due to its pH regulating properties.
It is used in canned foods, seafood, frozen fish fillets, and frozen shelled fruits. The purpose of use here is as a buffering and chelating chemical.
It is used in cakes, wafers, cake dough, cooled dough, baking flours and mixtures.
It is used as a sequestering agent in the processing of potato products.
It is used to color the meat and body of hot dogs.

Where are Tetra Sodium Pyrophosphate Used?

Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate (TSPP) is used as a pH buffer. In other words, it is used to maintain a certain level of acidity in a substance. It is a substance used in processed and milled grain products.
TSPP is used as a dough conditioner in meat products containing soy.
Tetra sodium pyrophosphate is used to wash and peel pandas. The usage rate here should not exceed 0.3 ppm.

Where are the areas of use of Sodium Tripolyphosphate?

It is one of the perfect detergent additives. There are 4 main reasons for its use here.
STPP creates an ion chelate effect with heavy metals. In this way, heavy metal ions combine with detergent molecules to form insoluble metal salts during the washing water process. Therefore, washing power decreases. It can even cause loss of function. It converts water containing heavy metal ions into harmless substances in the detergent. Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) makes strong chelates and seals heavy metal ions. In this way, it eliminates the negative effects on washing.
It is used to adjust the pH value of liquid soap. In this way, dirt is separated. It has solubility on dirt protein. In this process, emulsification in oil is encouraged.
When detergent formulations are used, sodium tripolyphosphate is used to protect the granular structure of synthetic absorbents in dry form and to contribute to the prevention of clogging events caused by moisture absorption.

SODIUM HEXAMETAPHOSPHATE(SHMP)

Sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) is a hexamer of the composition (NaPO3) 6. The sodium hexametaphosphate of commerce is typically a mixture of polymeric metaphosphates of which the hexamer is one, and is the compound usually referred to by this name. More correctly called sodium polymethanephosphate.

Uses

SHMP is used as a sequestrant and has applications in a wide range of industries, including as a food additive under the E number E452i. Sodium carbonate is sometimes added to SHMP to raise the pH to 8.0-8.6, producing a range of SHMP products used for water softening and detergents.
A major use for sodium hexametaphosphate is as a solubilizing agent in the production of clay-based ceramic particles.
It is also used as a dispersing agent to break up clay and other soil types for soil texture assessment.
It is used as an anti-staining and tartar-inhibiting ingredient as an active ingredient in toothpastes.
It removes the hardness of water. It softens water and allows better wetting of dust in the environment.

Artificial maple syrup, canned milk, cheese powder and dips, imitation cheese, whipped topping, packaged egg whites, steak, fish fillet, fruit jelly, frozen desserts, salad dressing, herring, breakfast cereal, ice cream, beer and bottled beverages, among other foods, may contain sodium hexametaphosphate.
